If you're generally healthy, starving yourself for one full day probably won't hurt you. Certain religious holidays, such as the Jewish Yom Kippur, require healthy adults to fast for a 24- to 30-hour period.

But you will feel hungry, and will probably overeat afterward. So if you're doing it as a quick way to lose some weight, the answer is no.
