Of course not, unless they're really racist or stuck in the 60's. It's a new milennia here. I'm a white girl (well, Spanish too, but that's besides the point) and I don't really care about someone's skin and neither does my friends. The important thing is to be approachable and nice.

I am a white guy and it is really hard to approach a black/mixed race girl .We get this feeling that we will be turned down. Also the stereotypes of black/mixed race guys into the thuggish guys.

Race does not matter. Some guys like specific girls and maybe you just arent the type he is interested in or are playing hard to get. No guy (unless sensitive) come up to you and randomly tells you that they like you. With some guys you have to give them time and wait. You will get the feeling if he likes you or not. Do not rely on race (black, white, puerto rican, Indian etc.) to find a guy. It is racial and offensive to others. And sometimes it can ruin a relationship.

However, there are also Black women who already prefer White guys and perhaps prefer a more passive way of relating to the world. In the end, however, just be yourself and remember that it is more about your personality, not anyone's skin color. Do not put on any act that you are not willing nor able to maintain throughout the entire relationship. So be genuine.
