Eid is basically the largest holiday for muslims, that is celebrated by all of them no matter what sect, which makes it like Christmas for christians in a way. However the celebration of Eid is the holiday that marks the end of the month of fasting for muslims, but christmas marks the birth of christ. So religiously, they are different. But for Christians, Christmas is a big holiday as for muslims eid is a big holiday.
