It can depend how serious the cheating matter is, and if your 'partner' has discussed what they would class as cheating with you, have you 'overstepped the marker?'

Sometimes, maybe that was the best decision for that person at the time, although, unless you know that they are fully sorry after doing so, and you are willing to forgive them and not hold it against them, then perhaps a break or ending the relationship is a good point?

Not telling the person that you have cheated isn't a good thing either really, imagine how you would feel? It could always come out too, and of course, not being told by you that you have cheated, can make the situation alot worse. Try to be honest.
