A Franchi SPAS-12 Shotgun has both a pump-action and semi-automatic mode. Automatic in shotguns will generally reference semi-auto unless stated as fully automatic.
The M1014 is the Benelli M4 Tactical. It is available only in semi auto. The Benelli M3 is the closest thing you'd find - it has the "dual action" feature, to where it could operate either in semi auto or pump action mode (in a similar manner to the Franchi SPAS 12). Additionally, Benelli has a whole line of pump action shotguns (the Nova series) which will share some commonality with the M1/M2/M3/M4 shotguns.
The Model 140 is a cheaper varient of the 1400
Give us a clue. Got a model number, or at least an action type - single shot, double barrel, pump (slide), bolt action, semi-automatic? Savage made dozens of different shotgun models and most were available as 12 gauge. semi automatic 12 gauge 775 single barrel magazine fed
There is no such thing as a new SPAS-12. The SPAS-12 has been put out of production since 1994. The SPAS-12s imported before the ban are not illegal, however.
Yes you can own a spas 12 in the state of michigan
For each serial number - are you talking about a rifle? If so, is it a bolt action, pump, or semi-auto? Pistol - what caliber? 22,25,32,380, 9mm? Shotgun - Over/under, pump, semi-auto? What gauge? 12, 16, 20, 410?
Is it a rifle? If so what type; single shot, bolt action, semi auto? Is it a shotgun? If so, what gauge; 12, 20, 16, etc. What type of action; Over/Under, Side by Side, Semi Auto, Pump? It was made in 1984, whatever it is.

It depends on what you prefer, you either prefer model 1887 or spas 12. in my opinion i prefer the spas 12 but it is your choice really.
