I am 11 weeks along and I am getting this strange sensation too, I am not too worried about it though as it is not painfull and I have noticed lots of weird and wonderful things happening within my body already, this throbbing sensation is just the lastest, if your not bleeding and theres no pain then I don't think it's anything to worry about.

yes
no it is not an early sign of pregnancy
If you are having a period, you are not pregnant. However many women confuse their periods with vaginal bleeding and vaginal bleeding can be a sign of pregnancy particularly in early pregnancy.
Bleeding during pregnancy is not "normal" but some light spotting is reported by about 50% of women in early pregnancy.
No, but vaginal infections are. You need to see your doctor.
because of the presence of estrogen, the vaginal walls become hypertrophic and enriched with glycogen. they also loosen from their connective tissue attachments in preparation for great distention at birth. there will also be increase in blood flow to these areas which causes color changes from normal light pink to deep violet (Chadwick's sign).
