CONSUMER BEWARE:
[1] The original 'screening center' representative stated there were no fees involved.
[2] The representative requested a valid credit card to confirm your eligibility of their program. They assure you they cannot charge anything to your card without your expiration date and 3-digit security code. Once 'approved from the screening center representative they will forward you to the "Senior Financial Adviser".
[3] The "Senior Financial Adviser" will congratulate you on your acceptance in their program. The adviser will then inform you of the savings you are guaranteed to receive.
[4] The adviser may state that the normal 'processing' fee of $1895 up front will be waived - as it is absorbed in the savings the consumer will be receiving.
[5] Very subtly, the adviser will than state that the processing fee will be placed on the credit card number you initially gave them "to let the bank know you are serious in keeping your payments up."
While this company may indeed be a legitimate company, their mannerism, professionalism and sales tactics were questionable. NO ABSOLUTELY NOT...............WITHOUT QUESTION THIS IS A SCAM. REPORT THEM TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU, AND IF YOU HAVE GIVEN THEM ANY MONEY CONTEST IT ON YOUR CREDIT CARD. THEY HAVE USED A CARD OF MINE TO CHARGE NEARLY A THOUSAND DOLLARS..........CALL THE POLICE AND FILE A REPORT IF THIS HAPPENED TO YOU...........

The only person who can materially change an insurance policy (including beneficiary changes) is the OWNER of the policy, who may or may not be the INSURED. The company does not have right to make a beneficiary change under federal law. In any case, beneficiary disputes are not uncommon. Finding the original policy will not solve this sort of dispute, since the beneficiary designation may have been changed after issue and will not be evident on the original. The insurance company may have acted upon a legitimate request to change the beneficiary, and if so they will (must) have a copy of that change form, signed by the owner's. (A copy of that change was probably sent to the policy owner at the time of the change, but it may have been lost).
They didn't. The company sent the 104 men to look for gold and not start a colony.
