No according to both he and his wife. It's interesting straight women are interested in finding out about a man like him to keep hope alive that there are beautiful heterosexual men out there. While homosexual men need to know there are beautiful men out there we can identify with.

I'm just adding on to what this individual before me has provided.
Although, to a degree, I do agree that people fantasize about celebrities to the point that will often lead them to ask questions as such. But I personally Googled this same question. Not because I'm a straight woman hoping to one day marry this actor nor because I feel the need to be reassured that there are "beautiful" homosexual men out there. But to clarify, I am indeed a young, Latino, gay man. I am active in the community and often speak on the behalf of homosexuals to promote tolerance, fair treatment and equal rights. I felt that Jeremy's portrayal as a closeted teen in an ethnic family in a neighborhood where the Hispanic culture is so prominent was very accurate and true. I was really able to connect with his character and was very touched by the bond between him, his community and especially between he and his father. I was also saddened when I saw the those bonds tested when his father found out his only son, which he shared so much of his life with, is gay. My father had the same reaction. I was kicked out in my senior year of HS by both my mother and father (I now have awesome relationships with both parents. My mom is now completely accepting of my life and my partner. My father who is deeply religious and one with strong cultural connections will always be in denial). Pretty much what I'm trying to say is that I really do wish there were more gay males who were able to speak on the rest of our behalves and communicate to those that I or others can't. But the thing that I really love after now finding out that Jeremy Ray Valdez is straight is that he is very kind and brave to take the stand that he has. It takes much more for a straight male to say that he believes in equal right for homosexuals as much as we all who admire him do.
