GSM (Global System for Mobile communications: originally from Groupe Spécial Mobile) is the most popular standard for mobile phones in the world. A phone standard describe how the frequency and other mechanisms on how the phones connect to the rest of the world.

Therefor GSM is not an output device, it is a technical standard, but a GSM contains both output and input devices.
