I think you mean Charles Daly. In general, they have a good reputation as an entry level 1911A1. Up until a year ago, they were made in the Philippines, and then production shifted to Israel. The finish and internal machining is good- not as good as a Colt or Kimber- but the price is a lot less.

Your 1911 model was made by Colt in 1919. Your slide probably reads 'springfield' and you think it is, but often slides on 1911's aew switched when being cleaned. Value depends on overall condition. Ex. very good, good, fair, poor.
