On the psat the perfect score would be a 2400. because u add a zero to the end of the number. so if u get a 240, that's a perfect score. on the sat, 1600 is the perfect score.

The highest score possible on the ACT is a 36. This means that you received credit for every single question; you got every single question right. It is comparable to a 2400 on the SAT's.
You can't get exactly 70 percent, because that would be 11.1 questions wrong out of 37. If you miss 11 or fewer questions your score will be above 70%; if you miss 12 or more questions your score will be below 70%. This assumes the test is more or less "straight"; if it's scored like, say, the SAT (where leaving a question blank does not reduce your score by as much as answering incorrectly) then we'd need to know the exact details of how the test is scored.
A great old SAT score would typically be above 1500 out of 2400. This translates to roughly 1550 or higher on the redesigned SAT out of 1600.
Average score on the 1600 scale is about 1000, so 970 is a bit below average.

LeBron received an 870 SAT score out of 1600 when he took the test. Believe me, that's not bad for all the ball he plays.
Generally speaking, at least a 1200 (out of 1600).
