Rouge the Bat from the "Sonic the Hedgehog" series is often associated with Knuckles the Echidna, but they are not officially in a romantic relationship. Instead, Rouge is portrayed as a treasure hunter and sometimes an ally to Knuckles, while also having a flirtatious dynamic with him. Their interactions often involve playful banter rather than a committed relationship.
Knuckles is an Echidna (similar to a hedgehog in appearance). His sworn duty is to protect a rare object called the Master Emerald. He often helps Sonic the Hedgehog in his adventures and in saving the universe from Dr Eggman and the Medarex. Rouge is a bat who is a jewel thief and treasure hunter who absolutely loves Jewellery which is why she tries to steal the Chaos Emeralds and most jewellery shops during her stay on Earth. She has a secret crush on Knuckles and attempts to infactuate him so she can take the Master Emerald.
