It may come out negative. The hormone that detects pregnancy, HCG, doesn't start getting secreted until the egg implants in the uterus (about 7-10 days after conception.) Every woman is different, and you may have ovulated later than you thought, so if the test is negative, wait a few days and retest. HCG levels double in the body every 48 hours. If you're still getting negative results, ask your doctor for a blood test (accurate from about 8-10 days after conception.)
