Well, generally speaking, "CCW" isn't a charge. If you mean unlawful carrying of a handgun, one possibility is, every state has places that are off limits, even with a carry permit, for example, bars are off limits in most states. If you are caught carrying a gun in a bar, you can get into trouble, even in you have a permit. Another possibility is, many states require the gun to be concealed. If you carry a gun and it becomes exposed, you might get into trouble.
