Some brown discharge is normal, it's just old blood nothing to get worried about. (Unless of course you know for a fact that you were pregnant, meaning a doctor told you that you were)
Old blood looks brown instead of red and is common during periods, though it usually occurs at the end of the period.

I had a very similar experience and ended up having a miscarriage. My period was about 2 weeks late and I had that brown discharge along with cramps for about 2 weeks before I took a test. A week later I went to the hospital and found out I miscarried. I was approx. 5-6 weeks along. If you don't want to risk a miscarriage get to the doctor NOW!

it does not always mean miscarriage as some women have a bleed during pregnancy but it could also indicate a missed miscarriage which is where the baby has died for what ever reason and you haven't lost it i would suggest that you go to your g.p's and ask for an urgent scan to check if the baby has a heart beat. i had a missed miscarriage at 14 weeks pregnant my body still thought i was pregnant but the baby had died at 9 weeks and 2 days. hope this helps

No you are not pregnant. I have had that to happen to me to. An I was not pregnant.
