Uniinstall Itunes (start menu, control panel, add remove programs), then reinstall itunes. When installing Itunes it will ask if you would like to search (or import depending on the itunes version) music from your pc. select yes. This should solve your problem.
it means that it will save that music to a folder on your itunes library.
My library has been deleted; I share an iPod with another person and they synced it to their library. After a while I wanted to sync it back, plugged it in, opened iTunes but then when I clicked on music all it came up with was - (screenshot) http://i47.tinypic.com/avq2hu.jpg It doesn't have my music on the iPod either, so I can't do anything involving that. Could I please have some ideas of what has happened and how I could resolve this? If you answer this, please just leave a line between this and the next thing, and don't delete this. Thank you!
An iTunes library is all the music an your computer, and on you iPod is stored. Just like a library of books, a library of songs, movies, and pictures.
If it is an ipod you can just sync it with itunes.
If the song is permanently deleted from every source you have, you will just have to pay for it again.
Yes your songs will be deleted but you can get them off the iPod using a program such as iDump or iPod2Computer Transfer Curtis White
If you are updating the iTunes software to the latest version your music library will not be affected.
If the film was brought into the iPad through iTunes sync, then yes.
You cant. I deleted my library and redownloaded it a while back and i had bought a lot of songs and when i re-downloaded itunes i didnt have those purchased items or any others. your sunk.
yes go to itunes---> library and choose apps
Why does iTunes lose your music library? If you have put any new music on your iPod lately, your computer could have synced your iPod and deleted all of the music.
Only the iTunes software is updated your music library will not be touched by the update.
The music files should still be in your "My Music" folder.
Go into your music library in itunes and right-click on the music you want to delete. The window that pops up should have a delete option, click on it and the music will be deleted from your library and the next time you sync your ipod, the music will be deleted from there too. (I'm not sure what other versions of itunes this works with, but i know it works with itunes 10.)
