If cell phone GPS will track your Sim card or your actual phone If you leave your phone somewhere and take the Sim card with you will it track the Sim card or the phone?

The GPS tracker is in the phone, not the card. But when you use that sim card in another phone the identity of the sim card will give away the location of the new phone - which then can be tracked by its GPS.

Im not sure. but what im getting at is this weekend my parents dont want me to come into town but i really want to. They had a gps device activated on my phone through att. I was wondering if i could take the sim card out and put it in another phone and get away with that?

Im not in trouble with the law. my parents are just crazy and wont let me come home from college to visit my friends and stuff because they say its too far but its only an hour and a half away. im just trying to figure out a possible way that i could come back without having to leave my phone here at school. Im looking for a way to block or deactivate a gps on my phone.
