If a guy tells you he hates you what does he really mean. Is this his way of saying that he really does love you but doesn't want to say it yet?

Hate is a pretty strong word. If he said he hates you and was serious when he said it, chances are he doesn't love you.
About Hate!
Ask yourself, how long did his hate last? Does he still hate you? If he would still hate you, don't you think that he would stay away from you? Isn't that likely?
Hate does not last forever. Most of the hate is specific. And, I am certain, you know already the specific of why he hates you. The best you can do is to tell him that you "hate him too." Again be specific! Tell him something about his behavior that you hate ( or dislike if this is too strong a word for you) and tell him "now we're even."
Coming from different homes, having different friends, having different ideas about life and then trying to get along, isn't easy. Try to figure out what you like and dislike about him and tell him but, at the same time, give him permission to tell you what he likes and dislikes about you.

Be Mature about ItSaying, "I hate you, too. Now we're even," is immature and won't solve anything. Better to simply accept that the relationship is over and move on. If, by some chance, he gets over his feelings of dislike for you, then fine. But meanwhile, let it go.Wiki User
