You can still take a shower when you are on your period. So don't worry i had my period 2 years ago. It's nothing from the other world.
You should take a shower when you're on your period. Blood flow is not at the same rate the whole time. If your flow is particularly heavy, wait until the next day. (If you are using tampons, showering is not an issue.)
