One person can influence others by many different ways. If the person is a role-model to the person, they're actions may influence the other person to mimic them.

The other people may influence the other person through jealousy for example, if he gets more women, does better at a sports, has more friends, ect,. The person may attempt to copy them or even out-do them in return.

A process called Socilaization is can influence people. It means when a single person is put into a different society, slowly or fastly, and subconciousnly or conciounscly, the person will adapt to fit into the society or group.

Peer pressure is common to influence another person to commit an action.
