Depends on the law where you live- we get questions from several nations and all of the US. In most cases, there is no lower age when under the supervision of an adult. (my granddaughter began shooting with me at age 10). In other circumstances, it will be the age where you can obtain a license to hunt by yourself. In several US states, that may be as low as 16, but requires a hunter safety course AND permission of your parents.
You will have to define what you mean by carry, and which gun. There is a large difference between carrying a concealed handgun, and carrying a rifle or shotgun when hunting.
