It's very hard to date a Sheridan rifle. Let me explain. Sheridan started in 1945 and produced single shot air rifles. In 1977 Benjamin air rifle bought Sheridan and continued the line. In 1992 Crosman bought Benjamin. And again kept both names in manufacture. They decided to use Sheridan on the 20 caliber rifles and Benjamin on the .177 and .22 caliber rifles and air guns. At one point you could find both names on the rifles. In 1995 they came out with the C9 Silver streak model which later added the CB9 Blue streak model. there have been 4 different variations of the Blue streak. It's still made today.
Crosman made some changes with their serial numbering system and I can't pinpoint your date of manufacture.

Made in 1974
Around $100 in good condition.
Model numbers from 025651 to 060550 were made in 1973. Your Sheridan rifle is 40 years old.
The Sheridan Blue Streak air rifle uses a 5mm pellet. This is about .20 caliber- larger than the .177 pellet, smaller than the .22 pellet. I have been able to get these at Bass Pro Shop. There are also at least 3 lots of them for sale on Ebay right now. Only the 5mm/ .20 caliber pellets will work in your rifle- do not try to substitute anything else. P.S. Have had one for years. These are extremely good air rifles- very accurate, very powerful.
It all depends on age, use, and condition of the rifle. Is it in Poor, Fair, Good, Very good or Excellent condition. Sheridan made 4 different model C series. The C Silver Streak, C9 Silver Streak, CB9 Blue Streak, and C9BP. Which one are you asking about?
The Sheridan Silver streak air rifle was made from 1949 up to the 1990's after that it became the Blue Streak.
It was made in 1975. (Today Crosman owns Sheridan.) See the link below and then scroll down to "Sheridan"

You don't put bullets in an air rifle you only put in pellets. Open the bolt, slide the pellet in nose forward. Pump the rifle 10 times. push the safety off, aim and fire. see the link below

Your rifle was made in 1977. It's one of two models, here is how to determine which one is yours. Measure your rifle barrel Model CB Blue streak barrel is 19.5 inches. Model CB9 Blue streak barrel is 19.38 inches 36.75 overall. It also has a Monte Carlo stock ( cheek rest).
There are 3 versions of the Sheridan Blue Streak. See the link below for the 2nd version. BTW today Crosman owns the Sheridan and Benjamin line of air guns. This link is from Crosman
