583 was part of a model number used by Sears on J C Higgins and Ted Williams branded guns sold by them. IF your gun is a .22 rifle, you may have a High Standard Model 34 Carbine. SOME parts for the Model 34 are availalble from Numrich gun parts corp. That rifle was made from 1962-1966. High Standard is no longer in business, so either used parts or new old stock parts are all that are available.
