That is not a serial no of a Remington 1911A1 they stopped in 1945 with 2465139.

the serial number is not a remington rand serial number. it is a colt commercial 1911. you have a rem-rand slide on a colt frame. sorry.

There is on mine, under the brass buttplate, on the left side. Mine is stamped 18, I believe.
