well I'm pretty sure you must be 16,though some places say 15 with a parent,i went at 15 and i couldn't get it done,they said i might still be growing and i can't get it done until i am 16 so I'm going back on my birthday lol

it depends. if you got it about 2 weeks ago you shouldn't because the piercing will get HUGE and greatly INFECTED because of the salt water. BTW. Great question. i had to learn the hard way... Sewage is pumped regularly into the sea around the UK (and elsewhere), Swimming in seawater and sewage is NOT the best way to help a new piercing to heal.

Since I got my belly pierced when I was 12 or 13 I might sound like a bit of a hypocrit....however I'm 18 now and I can't believe how young I was when I had it done! Although I loved it at the time it did get infected and I was only as tiny little thing!! My piercing now is slightly to one side although it was straight when I got it done.. i don't know if this is because I've grown or whatever..I don't regret getting it done but I would recomment waiting to anyone under 15.
