It depends on the hotel and the location. Some hotels will rent to any adult over 18. Others have policies that they will not rent to anyone under 21, 22 or 25. Often, this is meant to discourage hotel parties and "spring break" groups. In some cases, hotels will only rent to young adults if they are able to make a cash deposit at the time of check in to cover any damage.
