Depends on the detail of the piece amount of color and the skill of the tatoo artist

The above answer is pretty much spot on really, Japanese full colour may well take a lot longer to do. South pacific blackwork may be quicker. It does really depend on your artist, if they are slow or fast. Their experience as well. Do they do a day rate or hourly.

Look at portfolios of artists, choose someone who does the kind of work you are into and ask about :)
