I'd charge $150 plus expenses and I'd only take the job in hope of bigger things to come from this customer.
If you want to finish in one day you need to use fast drying mortar such as quick-set.
Trip to store for tile, grout and mortar.
Remove old tile and grout
Mix mortar
install tile (any cutting? more time, more tools, more clean up)
wait to dry (and clean up tools)
grout
wait
wipe off excess
wait
go over with sponge
clean up job site.
Also, ask your self, why ire the 5 tiles damaged? Bad sub floor? will you have to come back and fix it again out of your pocket?
Sometimes you can pull them right up.... Try a Hot air gun. ( have a bucket of water near) and a good scraper. Lots of disposable container space. How big an area? How much does cheap labor cost in your area?
It depends on the tile.
as much as ceramic or porcelain tiles
That's at least two days labour for two guys ( to do it properly )
Tile will start at around $.77 and go up to around $2.50.
If you need to ask this question you should not be removing palm trees.

I should charge 5%
about $65 hr.
uhh. how much did he charge you when you were growin' up?
It should not cost more than $5-$7. Some places will charge $10-$15. But it should not take longer than 10-15 minutes to remove the links. So, if you ask me, I think $10-$15 is too much.
If they are very good friend of you, you should not charge. Otherwise charge according to how much you work.
they should charge just enough but not too much
You can remove varnish from tiles by making a paste that contains two parts calcium carbonate, one part trisodium phosphate and some water. Using a putty knife, spread the paste over the varnish and allow to sit for 30 minutes. Use a plastic putty knife to remove the paste and varnish, scraping along the tiles as you go to remove as much of the varnish as possible. Rinse the tiles with warm water and pat dry with a clean, dry cloth.
you should charge 3.00 dollars or 1.00 dollars
however much you want to charge
The rate you should charge depends on how long it takes to get all of the trees planted. You can multiply how much you expect to make per hour by how long it takes to get an estimate of how much you should charge for the job.
