Not a whole lot. 'Nitro Hunter' was a tradename used by the Belknap Hardware Co on shotguns they retailed through their mailorder catalog from c.1890-1930. These were distributed by H&D Folsom, and were probably actually made by Crescent Firearms which was a wholly-owned subsidiary of Folsom. They have no collector interest, and routinely sell under $100. www.countrygunsmith.net

Crescent Fire Arms Company was the manufacturer of the Nitro Hunter shotgun. It was as an exclusive in-house brand of Belknap Hardware in Louisville.
Your best bet would be to take it to a gunsmith for a professional appraisal.
Nitro Hunter was a trade name used by Crescent firearms, who closed down decades ago. You may find a used stock with a lot of luck, no set price.
HAVE IT CHECKED OVER BY A GUNSMITH FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!! It is an old shotgun.
About $65-$75, depending on condition. Thee were low $$$ guns made by Crescent, who used about 100 different names. The Nitro Hunter was made for a chain of hardware stores.

'Nitro-Hunter' was a known trade name used by the Belknap Hardware Co on shotguns they retailed through their mail-order catalog before World War I. Since your gun has hammers, I suspect the origin is Belgian. Remove the barrel set and look on the underside for the telltale Belgian proofmark of the letters ELG in an oval. There is a possibility the gun was made domestically, probably by the Crescent Arms Co, in which case it will not have the Belgian proofmarks. It certainly is not stainless steel. That material was not used in firearms until many decades later. Perhaps someone has had it ... plated....... Value is as a decorator only. Typical specimens sell in the $100-$200 range with most under $175. If it has been nickel plated, who knows. sales@countrygunsmith.net
