The convicts were not permitted much exercise time on the First Fleet. At most, when the weather was fine and the seas calm, the convicts were permitted to go above decks for up to an hour a day. However, most days, the ocean conditions were no safe enough for convicts to emerge from below decks.
Little if records re to be believed. Most were chained together in the hold with barely enough space to sit down. Some were taken on deck to be sea water thrown over them to clean them as they arrived in port. Most sat in the own human waste for most of the journey. - Food was minimal

By ship
Slaves were transported from Africa to North America by ship.
Yes. Slaves were branded and their clothing was removed, either shortly before they boarded the ship or as soon as they were on the ship. Some slaves, usually children who were allowed to be on deck, were sometimes given the crew's old clothes.
They didn’t. Sailors had a ship to sail which was hard work with big ropes and sails. The slaves were in chains below and not allowed on deck. When one of them died they threw them overboard.
In tight pack or loose pack. Tight pack is where the slaves where layed on their side, and loose pack is where the slaves where layed on their back. The tight pack allowed more slaves to be on the ship but this caused more slaves to die as they were closer together and suffocated more.
