This all depends on what he says to you, how he says it, how he acts with you in a group and how he acts when you two are alone. Most of the time your gut will tell you if he really likes you and if it doesn't you can always ask him. Be straight forward in your question. Here are some examples: "How do you feel about me?" "Do you like me romantically? Do you see a dating future for us?" "I like you, do you feel the same way?" Don't be afraid to express your feelings to him. He will probably be flattered whether the feelings are mutual or not. If the feelings aren't mutual then at least you have your answer.
