If the nanny is through a company, it would depend not only on that nanny's desired price for their service (all varying on the location, size of house, number of household members, age of household members, and work desired from the nanny), but then there will be charges from the company for that nanny having their professional service, ect. Each company will also have different sets of charges, such as their 'set charges' for the company, and whatever they may charge for the job that they find for the nanny, ect. As far as being a nanny with a company, you're really going to want to do your research for what's available in your area, and watch out for nanny scam companies.

Someone who would want to be a nanny on their own, would want to find other nannies in their area to find out what's a going charge rate for all types of situations. (around 5-6 to make comparisons on rates). Then that person would need to find a client that will hire them, and then figure out pay rate from there.

*Keep in mind that they will most likely do a background check on who they hire. The nanny would also want to do the same and make sure they aren't getting into a household that would put them in harm's way, or put the nanny into any risky situations that may cause the nanny to get into legal problems or criminal problems from whatever the family may be into.*

Every situation is going to be different because every family is different, and the location plays a large role in what can be made per year for being a nanny.
