If we look at a typical 28 day cycle, a woman would ovulate on day 14 of her cycle and it can then take up to 16 days for a fertilised egg to travel down the fallopian tubes and implant itself (thus implantation bleeding). Thus implantation bleeding would likely be seen around the same time menstruation would be due.
