A large bottle of champagne will fill around six normal sized glasses.
About 35 Bottles for 1 glass of wine each.
-------------------------------
This depends on how much you want to serve them; if you keep opening bottle I am sure that they will keep on drinking.
However, if you plan on serving just one glass of champagne to each person and assuming that you are serving it in a normal sized champagne Flute, then a reasonable serving will be 100ml per person.
Each bottle of champagne holds 750 ml and thus you can plan on serving 7 people from each bottle and you will need 29 to 30 bottles (this gives you a bit extra to appear generous with - 50ml form each bottle and 1 extra bottle if you purchase 30).
The answer above is a bit more generous on glass size than mine - the thing to do is get the glass you are planning to serve it in, fill it to the level you wish (with water) then measure how much water you have used. Divide this into 750ml and work it out.
1000 is a good estimate. But are you sure all 200 will be drinking beer? I would think you could buy a few bottles of liquor and some mixers, to satisfy those who don't like beer. Do the basics: Vodka, Rum, Gin, Bourbon, and then a few bottles of wine: Reisling, White, and Red. That way, everyone who drinks will have something. I'd also have lots of bottled water and lots of soda as well. Not sure what you are planning, but I've thrown lots of parties/events and only having one thing to drink is not a good idea. If you are catering a Golf outting, then maybe beer is enough, but other than that, you should mix it up. Only about 20% will drink beer.
Have fun whatever you are doing, but be safe.
Oh yeah, by the way, you should know that if you are supplying people with alcohol, then you are responsible for their safety. So I would make sure you have taxi service available to everyone, or at least some DDs on hand.
How many glasses do you plan on them having? A good rule of thumb is that there are about five standard glasses per bottle.
So, for two hundred people, you'll need about 40 bottles of wine (four cases, with most of a case left over) for them all to have one glass. If you want them to have two glasses each, you'll need 80 bottles (7 cases, with less left over). If you want everyone to have three glasses, then you need 120 bottles (ten cases exactly).
For a party that isn't pretty exclusively a "let's all get massively wasted" party, you can estimate two glasses of wine per person per hour. This may be slightly on the high side, actually; I've seen entertaining guides that recommend one bottle for every two guests for a two hour party. On the other hand, if the people you're inviting routinely have breath that could be used as a flamethrower, you'll probably want more.

Many websites sell tap beer dispensers. They usually sell below $200 and are mostly compact and portable. Tap beer dispensers can also be found at major department stores like Macys and Sears.
