Well for a piercing you want to avoid the ocean for at least a week (seven days) then be sure to wash the piercing once you are done to avoid infections. Best bet is to say out all together and wait till the piercing is at least a month or more old. As for the tattoo you would be wise to avoid soaking any tattoo for at least 4 weeks, my counterparts in the tattoo section would give you more detailed information on aftercare for your tattoo.
