The first step with almost any body piercing is to do the basic care procedures; Clean the area with rubbing alcohol on a swab, use a hot compress to soak the piercing in some hot salt water and if none of that works you may need to try antibiotic cream or general antibiotics. If none of the basic "Home procedures" work it is very important you contact your GP or Piercist, Cartlidge peircings can cause some nasty complications if infections are not treated, including the collapse of the ear cartlidge.
If the infection doesnt disappear after 2-3 days of treatment, then you should see a doctor.
Also, Many times a doctor may request that you remove the peircing, this however is not the best option as it may cause an abscess to form (An infection trapped under the skin as the hole closes up)
not that i know of, i recommend seeing a doctor for it right away.
Seeing as though this is categorized under body piercing I'd say the metal going through your skin is the culprit. Perhaps infection.
It depends on the type of infection - you could ask at a Health Food Shop/chemist about your particular problem and ask them how many days to wait to see if things improve before seeing a doctor. Some times in New Zealand you can get over-the counter medicines to treat infections.
If you have itchy, sticky eyes and a 38. 6 C degree fever, this might mean that you have an infection. Seeing a doctor will be important to get rid of the infection.
Bladder problems are best dealt with seeing a doctor to rule out underlying conditions, such as infection.
You could possible have a kidney stone if you are seeing blood in your urine. If you have no infection, ask the doctor to check for kidney stones.
Didn't they tell you at the place where you got your piercing ? SEE A DOCTOR. Generally seeing a doctor should not be the first step when dealing with an infected piercing. If your piercing is hot to the touch, swollen, oozing, seeping, or otherwise distasteful it may be infected. Leave the jewellery in as it allows fluid to drain and prevents the formation of an abscess. Clean your piercing twice daily (not including showering) with your chosen method of piercing care - an excellent method is to use a sea salt soak - add half a teaspoon of sea salt to a cup of boiling water and allow it to cool to warm, apply this to your piercing for a few minutes twice a day. Apart from that try to touch it as little as possible and always wash your hands before touching it. If this does nothing to help after a few days or your piercing starts to look in any way truly alarming then yes, please see a doctor.
The doctor will either give you a medical or suction abortion. You can not do it safely, surely and legally without seeing a doctor.
You probably have an infection. You should see a doctor
I would lean towards no, but I'm not a doctor. Unfortunately, it sounds like it may be some sort of infection and I would strongly recommend seeing a doctor about it as soon as possible before permanent damage is caused. The internet may have some answers, but with medical conditions, it's always best to see a doctor.
Well this question has been asked so many times by people like yourself that figure you're smart enough to do your own piercing. If you don't know what's going on why did you go there to start with? The problems could be numerous. The jewellery could be cheap material and you're reacting to it.The needle could have been dirty and an infection is about to set in.The aftercare could be wrong and you're reacting to that. The piercing could be too shallow and your body is rejecting it.The piercing was done under less than aseptic conditions. So you did the, "I am a smart person", routine and did it your self and now because things are going south you are asking for help. Well the best answer is to go see your doctor or walk in clinic. Once you are done being degraded by the doctor for doing something stupid ( this was clearly stupid ), you may consider seeing a professional body piercer who gets paid to provide these services in a clean, safe and professional manner.By the way removing the jewellery before seeing the doctor is not a safe thing to do, it traps any infection inside the body and can make matters worse.
sometimes it means that you an infection and need to see a doctor but other times you could be pregnant. sometimes it means that you an infection and need to see a doctor but other times you could be pregnant.
