Teenage relationships can last from days, to even years. Maximum would average out to be around 2 years. Once in a great while, usually for upperclassmen, teenagers end up getting married, I'd say 1/1500 do this. Which would mean for an average highschool, one couple will end up getting married per 4 years.
But with middle school children relationships are usually much shorter. Usually Latin from a couple weeks to a month or two.
It depends on your age. If your are in high school, the average thing is about roughly 1 year. If you are older the years varies.

That's not necessarily a question someone can answer but yourself. on how long you want your relationship to last, and if you get bored of him/her just depends on how well your relationship goes and how long you want it to last.
