One home test kit claims a maximum of 40 days detection, after using two such tests I can say this is an accurate claim although arguably it is plus or minus a few days. No information was provided as to how frequency of use relates to the effective detection period, and this would probably vary by weight and amount + frequency of use.

Better guides have been written on how to beat a test, but if you want to let it leave naturally and you are a chronic smoker, be forewarned. Goldenseal-free herbal detoxifiers did nothing for me.

Marijuana does not stay in your blood stream. When smoked and processed, your body absorbs it into the fat cells. Regardless of how long you have been smoking, the THC found in marijuana typically will be flushed from your system after 3 months, plus or minus a couple weeks, of NOT USING THE DRUG AT ALL. I have to emphasize that part, because most people stop reading after the 3 months part.

The THC in marijuana can stay in the body for anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks, and usually about a month (4 weeks). Smoking it frequently enough can make it stay without limit.
