Getting bit by a human can kill someone in minutes. If the bite severs a major artery or vein like your jugular in your neck, you can bleed out in a matter of minutes. If the bite is somewhere else on the body it can still kill in as little as a few days. Some people are vulnerable to infection and untreated, the bacteria in another humans mouth can cause an infection. This bacterial infection can travel through the blood stream and cause major organ failure. If the bite wound becomes red and hurts badly the wound is most likely infected. If you can see the blood vessels "spidering" out away from the wound, then the infection has started spreading through your bloodstream. Once the blood vessels turn red and "spider" away from the wound, your body is at extreme risk as the bacteria now have a highway to your heart and other vital organs.
