Kept in an air tight container with something to keep it moist (apple wedge works nicely) and then placed in a refrigerator I've been able to keep mine fresh for over 2 months, normally however it'll keep for a week or two.

Cigarettes in an unopened pack can last for as long as 6 months before they become stale. Because it IS possible for them to get stale in an unopened pack. If you're in an area where cig packs are too high, there's a good chance most of the packs in that store have stale cigs in them. You can keep cigarettes fresher longer by keeping packs and cartons in a freezer. Keeping them in a fridge is a good idea too. But I prefer using the freezer.
Unlike the THC , nicotine does not evaporate over time. You may not like the taste, but if you are out of cigarettes at 3:00 am and you get the 20 year old cigarette pack out of an army duffle bag that is stored in your rafters and smoke one of that, it will do its job .
I would say about 5-6 mins I think it depends on how often your dragging on it if your dragging on it alot it would probably be done quicker than if you were letting it burn
If the package is unopened, cigarettes will last up to nine months before going stale. Once opened, cigarettes can start to go stale within a matter of weeks.
