NO!!! The 'Period' ; ( Menstrual Period) last for several days during a females menstrual cycle. The Menstrual cycle is approximately 28 days long, but can vary quite considerably. During the menstrual period , the lining of the uterus(womb) is shed/discharged. This may be evidenced through tummy pain, and blood appearing at the vaginal entrance. This is the reason why feamles wear tampons, in order to absorb discharged blood. Ovulation occurs when an egg is passed from the ovaries through the fallopian tubes, into the uterus. It is at the point when the egg is in the fallopian tubes, that a female wants to copulate, in order to fertilise the egg, and thereby become pregnant. Ovulation occurs some two or three days before menstruation. Externally , a female who is ovulating, wants to copulate , dresses attractively/provocatively, makes eyes at males, and may be 'wiggles' her bottom/posterior, so that males can see. There are many other external signs a female can display, but it is all subtle game. NB If you do not know the meaning of the word 'copulate', I suggest you look it up in a dictionary.
Female sex cells are called eggs or ova. They are produced in the ovaries and are important for sexual reproduction.
The female period is a time when the uterus expels the lining and egg from the last ovulation in preparation for the next.

If a sperm fertilizes an egg, the female will not have a menstrual cycle for that month as the fertilized egg will implant in the uterine lining and develop into a pregnancy.
As long as the egg does not get fertilized it will come.
It is expelled from the female body at the next period.
You can get pregnant the next month after your last period. Your next period will produce an egg about 1/2 way through it. So if your period is 28 days long then the egg is produced about the 14th day. These dates can be different for different people. Even the same person might have some "months" longer than 28 days and some shorter.
Another name for the female reporductive cell is ovum or a gamete. The egg cell is realised from the ovaries after a period of maturation (In the menstrual cycle roughly 1-2 weeks after the previous period.
