I had a pair (the Chiba style I think) that lasted about 10 months.
They were my main everyday shoe and I walked around a couple miles each day. The soles on both eventually got holes right under the balls of my feet. I tried patching them with bike tire patches but that wore away pretty quickly. I'd fix them if I knew a cost effective way, but I'm probably just gonna buy a new pair.
I think they don't last as long as others because they are designed to give a somewhat barefoot feel, which is why I like them. I have other shoes that have lasted much longer, but they feel more rigid and restricting.

Really there is no telling how long these shoes will last. Some tell me that the shoes last a long time then there is other reviews that tell me they last no time and they aren't that, good of a shoe to run in. I guess you'll have to be your on tester on those shoes.

How long the shoes last depend on the driving conditions and usage. If the e-brake is set and forgotten, the shoes will wear conciderably faster. Usually, the brakes will last as long as the normal shoes will. A lot of the answer will also depend on the type of vehicle used in this question...
