I had a pair (the Chiba style I think) that lasted about 10 months.

They were my main everyday shoe and I walked around a couple miles each day. The soles on both eventually got holes right under the balls of my feet. I tried patching them with bike tire patches but that wore away pretty quickly. I'd fix them if I knew a cost effective way, but I'm probably just gonna buy a new pair.

I think they don't last as long as others because they are designed to give a somewhat barefoot feel, which is why I like them. I have other shoes that have lasted much longer, but they feel more rigid and restricting.
