edit: I have found that it is less time than that. I have read many times that you can only do opiates 1 every two weeks without getting addicted. In my case I find that if I used opiates more than three days in a row, especially if I took alot, than I would already be mentally and physically addicted. There is no set time or exact answer on this question. When you come to the point where nothing else matters except that pill and doing anything to get it, you are addicted. Also justifying your recreational use of opiates is also a classic sign of addiction. Opiates completely ruined my life, I lost everything that meant anything to me from my addiction to opiates. I started out just taking a few lortabs on the weekends and within six months was shootin up heroin, it was such a fast progression for me. I have been clean for five years now and just in the last year have straighten my finances out and am back on my own two feet. Whatever you do don't think it can't happen to you!!! It can and probably will if you think you are on control. Please stay away from painkillers and opiates, I know its fun and all but you do not want to go down the road I went down.....trust me , it has been hell on earth. Good luck with everything. Messeage me (jasondavidrice) if you ever want to talk about opiate addiction.
When the take so much that they are "nodding " off to sleep. Pupils will be very small, and if they are scratching excessively than they are taking too much

No, not all painkillers are illegal. There is a certain limit however to how strong the painkiller can be. Some of the strongest ones that are sold are things like Tylenol and Morphine. Do not take them too much or your body can get addicted and dependent. Doctors are only allowed to give painkillers of a certain strength since anything above that strength can cause almost immediate addiction, and terrible health problems. So, some painkillers are legal - and others not. I hope that was helpful!
Yes, you can.
You can get addicted to something after only trying it once. It depends on how addictive the substances is but my best advice is if it may make you addicted stay away from it all together that way you don't risk addiction!
