definitely depends on what kind you smoke.
i usually smoke white widow, white rhino, purp, kush, trainwreck, mr. nice guy and laced sh*t, and have been for about 3 in a half years.
the types i listed above are the types that are the strongest here in the bay area. and based on personal experience i listed below the amount i smoke and how long it lasts. (every person differs though).

-about 9-12 hours

You are crazy if you do this for your first time (highly not recommended because you might pass out and wake up about 3 hours later feeling like crap) but it would last for about a whole day to even into the next day when you wake up. i get the opposite effect of munchies so i always have water or a drink near me at all times. when you wake up, don't have a lot to eat no matter how hungry you are because you'll regret it when you become sober and have stomach pains/cramps. and just stay hydrated. (also after smoking, and you feel hungry, it doesn't mean your really hungry so try drinking something first and see if that satisfies you.)
if you drink a lot of fluids (mostly water or juice) you won't be as hungry with munchies and over a period of time you can lose weight. (i lost about 15lbs in a period of 2 months because of this.)
