Being that its really new, it can close up within a half an hour, to a couple of hours. Right now, your body is working overtime trying to patch the hole that was just created in your body, so without jewelry in it, it wont take very long at all.
No. Unless you have a tongue piercing.
you may NEVER take it out
It'll probably close up in less than an hour.

A tongue piercing ITSELF cannot cause the flu- only the virus influenza can. It can be easier to catch, though, While your piercing is healing- it provides an entry point to your body, just as any open wound would. As long as clean equipment is used and the piercing is taken care of, catching the flu shouldn't be a problem from introduction to the piercing.
If a green mark is left after taking out a piece of jewelry it usually means the jewelry is cheap. You need to get some type of surgical steal/gold/ect jewelry.
a week at most
Honestly, I have had my labret piercing for about 7 months now and I took it out for about 4 hours for a class. At the end when I tried to put the piercing back in it hurt. The hole were the piercing was seemed to have tightened up. It took a few hours for my piercing to feel like it usually does. So I would guess that a labret piercing would close up kinda fast
TAKING THE TONGUE RING OUT BEFORE THE HEALING PROSES ISDANGEROUS AND COULD LEAD TO INFECTION, BE SURE TO WAIT AT LEAST TWO WEEKS TO CHANGE THE PIERCING
Depends on how long you have and your body. It will most likely close up but you will probably have a tad bit of scarring.
Although if performed by a qualified piercer and taken care of afterwards, a piercing usually does not give you too much trouble. But there can be many healing problems that you can face with a piercing, which can be attributed to different factors such as improper placement, inadequate aftercare, wrong kind of body jewelry, etc. Here
As long as you get it done by a professional and take care of it exactly as they tell you, your tongue piercing should be fine. For the first week your tongue will probably swell and you won't be able to eat solid food, but the tongue is a muscle so it heals faster then most piercings if taken care of properly. That being said, do not attempt to do this yourself, your tongue has a lot of nerves and blood vessels, pierce your own tongue in the wrong place and you could end up loosing feeling in your tongue, loose your taste or even worse bleeding to death! A good piercer spends 5-10 minutes examining your tongue to find the safest route through it. So be smart, go to a professional and good luck!
