As with almost any mp3 player, there is a little switch on the bottom of the iPod. If it shows red, it is locked and the iPod will not work. Try switching it to where it shows silver instead. If that does not work, try resetting the device with a needle. And if that does not work, I would either seek professional help or send it back.

If it's stuck, try and pry it up with a small needle or other tiny object. Clean it carefully and make sure to dry it properly. If that doesn't work, and you feel confident enough, open it up and try and find the back of the power button. But be careful using the latter method as, if you ruin it, it can be expensive.

All you would have to do is charge your iPod, and then hit the power or middle button...and you will hopefully have a working iPod once again. Good luck, I hope it works for you!

You can ussually try calling apple directly they will ask for the serial number which you can get when you plug into iTunes they can set you an appoitment with a nearby apple store
