Liquid expands by Diffusion. Its simple Middle school science. To be more precise, its osmosis. As water moves from place to place there becomes more water "Molecules" Its impossible though for liquid (water to expand). It just takes the form of what it is in. There is no way you can gain unless you add more to it physically. I'm a Middle Schooler. It's simple Science!
Yes, in general a liquid will expand when heated. They contract when they are cooled.
The liquid expand from heat. We use these expansion to indicate temperature. Common thermometer liquid is Mercury and alcohol.
No. Most liquids contract when they freeze. Water is unique in that it expands.
Gas will always fill any container that it is in, since it will expand to fill any available space. Liquid does not expand, it has a fixed volume, therefore depending upon how much liquid you pour into your container, the container may or may not be filled.
Paper towel is pourous and able to expand when absorbing liquid so that the liquid is held inside the cavities of the cellulose material.
Expand Slightly

gas expand more than liquid and liquid expand more than solid.

All of them can expand - for example, when they are heated. Gases usually expand more than solids or liquids.
when a liquid turns into a solid it contracts
All liquids expand on heating (apart from water between 0oC to 4oC)
expand
the heat makes it expand you see
In a thermometer is a liquid metal called Mercury, so the liquid expands when it is heated up.
