Turn the volume dial to medium (it works best to hear baby's heartbeat). Place the moniter below your belly button and push the round button to listen. You will probobly have to move the device all around the uteral area to eventually find the heartbeat. You must be atleast 5 months along to use the device. Try to stay very still while you are using the heart listener because any slight movement you make will come through as a loud, overpowering noise on your headphones. Also, if the cord is moving around a noise will also be produced. The Bebe Sounds Prenatal Heart Listener is very frustrating to use and does not work very well if you are not far along in your pregnancy.
