Hold the weapon by the grip with your right hand, with the barrel pointed away from you, and YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER. With your left thumb, press the cylinder latch (just in front of the cylinder, left side) and slide it down. While holding it down, press the tips of your left hand fingers against the RIGHT side of the cylinder, pushing it through to the left. Once the cylinder is open, use your left thumb to press the extractor (thin rod that sticks out of the front of the cylinder) to the rear. The extractor will pull the cartridges out of the cylinder. Pull out each cartridge with your fingertips. When all cartridges are removed from the cylinder, the weapon is unloaded. Takes more time to read this than to do it.
