Go to Control Panel and open Programs and Features. You should find IMVU in there and be able to delete it. If that doesn't work, restart your computer and run it in Safe mode, that is, if that option is available to you.
In Windows XP, open the start menu and click Help and Support. Another window will open. In the search box type: removing programs and click the one that says 'uninstall programs' there should be a link on the page that opens the Programs and Features. Or, type Programs and Features into the search on the start menu.
( Either one should work, but I'll need to check that tomorrow on our Windows XP computer.)

Yes, it is. You can meet people from around the world, make friends, and create you own style. There can be glitches and it is possible that it can crash. My friend had IMVu and she had to uninstall it because it froze. Otherwise, this is a brilliant game and I recommend it.

If nothing helps, you need to edit the registry manually. For that you need to start regedit (start->run->regedit). The press Ctrl+F, type imvu. Delete all references (read below). Exercise extream caution working with the regestry.
